POSITION: In-School Suspension Supervisor/Teacher Aide (Part Time)
LOCATION: Portland High School/Middle School
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Two years of college course work or Associates Degree in related field.
2. Experience in supervising middle school and high school students.
3. Has demonstrated responsibility with a minimum amount of direct supervision.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
The In-School Suspension Supervisor is
responsible for the supervision of students assigned to the in-school
suspension room as a disciplinary measure.
The supervisor will maintain an orderly atmosphere and facilitate the accomplishment
of assigned work.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Control
of students in the in-school suspension room.
2.
Monitor
students to see that assignments are attempted, completed and returned.
3.
Communicate
with staff if questions arise concerning students assignments.
4.
Keep
administrators informed of student attendance.
WORK HOURS:
Three days per week, 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. two days at the High School and 7:30 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. one day at the Middle School.
